Cadastral Survey — Documents Required
Instruction to survey from registered land owner or Power of Attorney from authorised agent
Title deed for the land to be surveyed (current registered deed)
Town planning approval or subdivision consent from the Local Authority or MURD
Registered professional surveyor's field notes, computations and abstract of survey
Diagram or General Plan of the surveyed land prepared to Surveyor General standards
Beacon establishment record with GPS coordinates in WGS84 datum for all corner points
Surveyor General approval certificate for the survey (after SG office review)
Surveyor General office fees (based on area and survey complexity)
Deeds Registry transfer or endorsement fees (for ownership transfer after survey approval)
Land Subdivision / Township Establishment
Town Planning Scheme amendment application if the proposed use differs from current zoning
General Plan of the proposed subdivision showing all proposed erven, roads and servitudes
Engineering services report: stormwater, roads, water, sewer design for township
Environmental Clearance Certificate (for townships involving listed activities)
Local Authority resolution approving the proposed layout and servicing plan
Surveyor General submission and approval before Deeds Office registration
