Exclusive Prospecting Licence (EPL)

About EPLs: An EPL grants the holder exclusive rights to prospect for specified minerals within a defined area for up to 3 years, renewable. EPLs are assessed on geological merit, technical capacity, financial ability and Namibian equity participation. IBDFN prepares complete, competitive EPL packages.
EPL Application Requirements
Completed EPL Application Form — available from the Mining Commissioner, MME Windhoek
Detailed geological motivation report: target minerals, geological rationale, exploration methodology
Proposed work programme with budget breakdown per exploration phase (minimum 3-year plan)
List of specified minerals to be prospected (clearly identified by name and type)
Map of proposed EPL area at 1:50,000 scale with coordinates, area size and nearest features
Proof of technical capacity: signed CVs of qualified geologists and exploration team
Financial statements or bank guarantee proving capacity to fund the work programme
BIPA company registration certificate and full shareholding structure
NamRA tax clearance certificate (current)
Social Security Commission (SSC) good-standing certificate
Environmental Management Plan (EMP) for prospecting phase activities
Community consultation evidence if the EPL area includes communal land
Letter of no objection from relevant regional council if required
