Work Visa & Long-Term Work Permit

Important: No person may commence work before receiving approved authorisation. Employers retain all documentation for MHAISS audit. Processing: 8–12 weeks for long-term permits. IBDFN handles labour market testing, newspaper advertising and complete submission.
Employee Documents — All Work Authorisations
Visa Application Form (3-1/0033) AND Work Permit Form (3-1/0001) — both signed
Valid passport — minimum 6 months validity beyond permit expiry, minimum 3 blank pages
Certified copy of all passport pages
Two recent passport-size photographs (colour, white background)
Police Clearance Certificate from country of origin AND country of residence — issued within 6 months
Original Medical Certificate (Form 3-1/0003) — not older than 6 months
Original Radiological / X-ray Report (Form 3-1/0004) — not older than 6 months
Certified copies of all academic qualifications and professional certifications
Updated Curriculum Vitae / Resume
Professional council registration (engineering, medical, legal etc.) where applicable
Employer Documents — Long-Term Work Permit
Signed employer motivation letter explaining role, skills gap and why no Namibian can fill the position
Signed employment contract: title, duties, salary, location, duration
Labour market test: advertisements in minimum 3 Namibian newspapers for 14+ working days
Certified copy of BIPA company registration certificate
NamRA tax clearance certificate (current)
Social Security Commission (SSC) good-standing certificate
Sector-specific operating licence (mining, medical, construction etc.)
Business Investment Permit — Additional
NIPDB assessment and recommendation letter
Detailed business plan: investment amount, employment targets, sector
Proof of capital investment: bank statements, certificates, property deeds
BIPA registration of Namibian entity and shareholder agreement
