Work Authorisation Required
Any person who is not a Namibian citizen or permanent resident who wishes to perform any work in Namibia must hold a valid work visa or work permit. This includes volunteers, trainers, and business visitors who render services regardless of citizenship.
Labour Act No. 11 of 2007 — Section 25
Labour Market Protection
Employers must demonstrate that a position cannot be filled by a Namibian citizen before a work permit is granted. IBDFN assists with labour market testing, local newspaper advertising and compiling the full employer motivation package.

Business Visitor Visa
For meetings, audits, training delivery and business negotiations. Mandatory even for visa-exempt nationals per Section 27 of the ICA. Up to 30 days, non-employment.

Up to 3 months (N$1,600) or 6 months (N$3,200). Assignment-specific with full employer and employee documentation packages. Submitted via embassy or MHAISS directly.

1–3 year employment permits for sustained engagement with a Namibian employer. Full labour market testing support, newspaper advertising coordination and complete documentation.

The new 5-year Employment Permit to Conduct a Business (Gazette 9011, 1 Sept 2026), submitted through NIPDB. We handle investor registration, the economic evaluation pack, company registration, compliance certificates, the motivation to the Immigration Selection Board and submission under Power of Attorney.
