Our Engineering Mandate
Professional Engineering,
Grounded in Namibian Law
The Engineering Profession Act No. 7 of 2010 establishes the professional framework for all engineering practice in Namibia. Only registered professional engineers may design, certify and supervise engineering works. IBDFN's civil engineering division is staffed by registered professional engineers compliant with the Namibian Council for Professional Engineers (NCPE), delivering work of the highest standard.
Engineering Profession Act No. 7 of 2010
Registration & Professional Practice
All engineering design, certification and project supervision in Namibia must be carried out by engineers registered with the Namibian Council for Professional Engineers, Technologists and Technicians (NFCET). IBDFN ensures all engineering work is stamped and certified by registered professionals.
Roads Authority Act No. 17 of 1999
Road Design Standards
All road design in Namibia must comply with the Roads Authority's design standards, geometric specifications and pavement design guidelines. IBDFN's road engineering team applies internationally recognised standards (SATCC/CSRA) adapted for Namibian conditions.
